WRS Single Payroll Transition Program - Reminder Posted 3 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022 With the transition to a biweekly payroll cycle for FY 2022, employees received 25 paychecks instead of 26 resulting in a reduction in earnings reported to the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) for the fiscal year 2022. This means that the first $160,200 of an employee’s taxable wages are subject to Social Security Taxes. An employee and the UW System will each pay 6.2% on taxable wages up to $160,200.
