Leave eligible employees are encouraged to plan and schedule paid leave now to avoid losing hours that are not eligible to carry over into the next fiscal year.
Personal and Legal Holidays
Personal and legal holidays must be used by June 30, 2025, or they will be lost.
Vacation
- Faculty, Academic Staff and Limited Appointees: All vacation hours carried over from fiscal year 2024 (July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024) must be used by June 30, 2025, or banked (if eligible) by September 30, 2025.
- University Staff, including Craft Workers and Trades Employees: All vacation hours carried over from calendar year 2024 (January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024) must be used by June 30, 2026. As a reminder, University Staff leave is transitioning from a calendar year to a fiscal year. Leave from calendar year 2024 has an extended carry over period to facilitate the transition.
