Congratulations to the Recipients
Announcing the winners of the Altman, Wimberly, and Academic Excellence/Internationalization Awards. Formal announcement to be made at the 61st International Banquet
Recipients will be honored at the 2026 International Banquet.
Altman Award: Recognizes outstanding contributions to the advancement of international education at UW-La Crosse in three categories:
- Leadership (UWL faculty/staff/department) – Dr. Victoria Calmes
- University Service (UWL faculty/staff/department) – Kim Berg
- Community Service (UWL affiliated or community member) – Dr. Todd Jay Leonard
Wimberly Award: Recognizes an outstanding UWL/community individual or organization that has contributed to the development of long-term excellence in international programming at UW-La Crosse. - Dr. Betsy Morgan
Academic Excellence/Internationalization Award: This award recognizes one outstanding international student for academic achievement and contributions to the internationalization of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. This award is only offered to graduating international students that have met all graduation requirements. - Valliammai Arunachalam, Khang Duong, Kaaviya Saraboji, & Nainil Mukesh Jariwala
