If you have special dietary requests, please submit them to internationalbanquet@uwlax.edu by Monday, April 13, 2023. All menu items are processed in the same facility. We will make every attempt to honor your requests however menu items may come into contact with wheat, eggs, nuts, soy and dairy.

Table Sponsorship:  $250 per table (includes 8 banquet tickets - more information)

You can purchase tickets using the following methods:

  • In person at the Information Center, Student Union
  • Purchase them online here. Tickets are not available online the day of show.
  • By phone by calling 608.785.8877. Tickets can be mailed at no additional charge if time permits.
  • Payment by debit or credit only.  No cash or checks accepted.

Tickets purchased online or by phone can be picked up at the Information Center during regular business hours. All sales are final. There will be no refunds or exchanges for individual ticket sales.

2023 marks the 58th anniversary of the International Banquet. The UW-La Crosse International Education & Engagement (IEE) invites the La Crosse community to attend the 2023 International Banquet!

The International Banquet began as a celebration and an opportunity to share the rich diversity and culture the international students & scholars bring to UW-La Crosse and the community and is now a celebration of all our international connections. The Banquet includes entertainment performed by international students/staff/faculty/community members and an internationally themed menu. A variety of meat and vegetarian options are provided as a buffet.

Global Citizenship Showcase

Join us ahead of time for a poster session and display of our area's global reach. While socializing with each other and our international students, take time to peruse the posters and displays in the Union Bluffs Foyer. Our international students, study abroad students, faculty, and community are invited to showcase their international experiences and international projects to the community. Altman & Wimberly Award Nominations due March 31, 2023

Nominations are being sought from the UWL community for the following awards to be announced at the 58th International Banquet. The nomination period closes on March 31, 2023. We appreciate you taking the time to nominate others for their efforts!

  • The Altman Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the advancement of international education at UW-La Crosse in three categories:
    • Leadership (UWL faculty/staff/department) - Past recipients include Haixia Lan, John Porcari, Adam Van Liere, Ruthann Benson, Paula Knudson, and Gary Gilmore
    • University Service (UWL faculty/staff/department) - Past recipients include It Make$ Cents, Vernell Glenn, Heather Holm, David Anderson, UWL Information Technology Services, and Jim Jorstad
    • Community Service (UWL affiliated or community member) - Past recipients include Global Initiatives Week Planning Committee, Ale Quartiroli, Ayesha Patnaik, Troy Harcey from the La Crosse School District, Ron Kind, and Ron Rada
  • The Wimberly Award recognizes an outstanding UWL/community individual or organization that has contributed to the development of long-term excellence in international programming at UW-La Crosse.  Some past recipients include Academic Programs International (API), Mao Zheng, Carl Foster, Liz Arnold from Global Partners, UW-La Crosse Budget Office, and CEA Study Abroad.
  • Please complete the following survey to submit nominations for these awards, including 3-4 sentences about why you feel the nominee is worthy of the award.

International Student Academic Excellence/Internationalization Award Nominations due March 31, 2023

This award recognizes one outstanding international student for academic achievement and contributions to the internationalization of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. This award is only offered to graduating international undergraduate students that have met all graduation requirements.
