Read more about Boring lecture? Not here Wittich Hall was built in 1916. Construction was stopped during the first World War and the building opened in 1920. An addition, called the “women’s gym,” was added in 1931. In 1985, Wittich Hall was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Read more about Building on history  After polishing his metalsmithing skills in the UWL Art Department, student Travis Trzecinski volunteered to restore a sculpture that was in need of repair in Cartwright Center. That sculpture is now finished and on display in the lower level of the new Student Union.

The girls, who shaped their idea in UWL’s Innovation Generation program, won the grand prize in the Wisconsin Yes! Competition. The  competition had 148 entries and 24 finalists.
