Winter issue now online
UWL College of Science and Health students and alumni are making Wisconsin a healthy place to live — and more.
Students are preparing areas in La Crosse’s Hixon Forest for forest bathing. Others stretch out to rural, western Wisconsin to provide underserved communities with health-related programming. Still others are helping those with Parkinson’s Disease stay active.
They are all ways in which CSH students, faculty and alumni are making the state a better place.
In southeastern Wisconsin, UW-Whitewater Professor and Certified Wildlife Biologist Josh Kapfer, ’99 & ’02, is helping reptile enthusiasts identify and learn more about species in the Badger State.
And as a partner in the Freshwater Collaborative of Wisconsin, high school students from throughout Wisconsin are getting excited about science by heading out on the Mississippi River.
