UW-L’s College Democrats Treasurer Breanna Levine, center, was one of many students who worked throughout the semester to help get UW-L students to the polls Nov. 4. The organization worked with the Student Association to help students register to vote. A total of 1,286 students voted at the Recreational Eagle Center on election day.
UW-L has historically had strong voter interest and turnout, and this fall was no different. Statewide voter turnout was about 54 percent and the 5th district — encompassing UW-L’s campus — was 60 percent.
