Employees and students should use caution if traveling in the region

The National Weather Service is warning of a dangerous Winter Storm for the La Crosse area from Saturday evening, March 14, through Monday morning, March 16. Significant snow accumulation and high winds are expected throughout Wisconsin, southern Minnesota and northern Iowa.

With the start of Spring Break, we urge you to plan accordingly. Travel may be difficult and even dangerous during the course of the storm. Please use your best judgment in deciding whether to travel and when.

This winter storm may continue into Monday morning. Employees should contact their supervisor with any specific concerns and refer to the Universities of Wisconsin Inclement Weather Policy regarding any changes to a regular work schedule.

Please take care, plan ahead and avoid hazardous road conditions.
