The UWL “Black Coat Jazz Band" (the UWL Jazz Ensemble) will also perform favorite swing selections featuring Music Department Chair Christopher Frye, pianist, performing Count Basie’s signature song, “The Kid From Red Bank.” Hanson will be featured on “Taking A Chance On Love” made popular by Benny Goodman and vocalist Helen Forrest in the early 40s. Both bands will perform a variety of dance favorites including polkas, waltzes and cha-chas. A large dance floor will be set up. The concert is cabaret style seating with beverage service available.
