La Crosse Exercise and Health Program holds open house 8:30-11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10

The program holds an open house from 8:30-11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, in the Recreational Eagle Center, 1601 Badger St. Admission is free; light refreshments will be served. Metered parking is available in nearby lots.
The La Crosse Exercise and Health Program focuses on primary and secondary cardiac disease prevention. The program is active in conducting research with companies including NordicTrack, Speedo, Reebok, Stairmaster, Rockport Shoe Co. and others. Program leaders present cardiopulmonary rehabilitation workshops attended by individuals from all over the world.
”We encourage those at all interested in getting a tour to come while the exercise program is in action,” says Kim Radtke, LEHP director. “It’s better to see it while it’s going on.”
Primary program hours are:
• 5-7 a.m. Mondays-Fridays — open lap swim, Mitchell Hall Pool.
• 5-7 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays — access to aerobic and resistance training equipment, 101 Mitchell Hall.
• 8:30-11 a.m. Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays — group-led exercise classes and access to aerobic and resistance training equipment, Recreation Eagle Center.
