The 8th Annual Three Rivers Roleo Log Rolling Tournament will be at the Great River Landing in Onalaska.

The 8th Annual Three Rivers Roleo Log Rolling Tournament will be Saturday, July 11, at the Great River Landing in Onalaska. The professional competition starts at 11 a.m.
UW-La Crosse alumna Katie Rick, ’08 and ‘12, has been a lead organizer of the tournament, which is the highest ranked log rolling tournament after the World Championships. Admission is free.
Fox Sports Wisconsin, which reaches more than two million homes throughout Wisconsin and surrounding states, and Fox Sports North in Minnesota will air the event. Visit foxsportswisconsin.com for channel details.
This year a celebrity log rolling event will kick off the tournament at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, featuring local celebrity members of the media.
UW-L alum Emily Christopherson, the No. 4 ranked log roller in the world, will participate as well as other local rollers and world-class athletes. The world’s No. 1 ranked male and female rollers, J.R. Salzman, 36, of Hayward, Wisconsin, and Gretchen Green, of Madison, will compete. The 20-year-old Green is also the Three Rivers Roleo defending champion. Leah Burns, a UW-L junior, will also compete.
The tournament is a partnership with the Onalaska Enhancement Foundation and Onalaska Park & Recreation. The tournament is sanctioned by the U.S. Log Rolling Association.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Concessions will be available. Parking for the event is available in the bicycle trail parking lot along Highway 35 in Onalaska; then head down the hill on Irvin Street toward the river for the competition.
