Author still scheduled to speak about her book at UW-L tonight, March 5

The Pulitzer Prize writer scheduled to speak at UW-La Crosse tonight, March 5, plans to give her presentation despite today’s snowstorm.

The Pulitzer Prize writer scheduled to speak at UW-La Crosse tonight, March 5, plans to give her presentation despite today’s snowstorm.

            Isabel Wilkerson will discuss her book, “The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America’s Great Migration,” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, in 1400 Centennial Hall. Books will be available for purchase; a book signing will follow.

            Wilkerson made it into La Crosse prior to today’s weather. Her presentation, free and open to the public, is part of the Allen B. Birchler Lecture Series sponsored through the College of Liberal Studies. For more information, contact the college at 608.785.8113.
