Five to enter Wall of Fame, celebrations set
Five former student-athletes will be inducted into the UWL Wall of Fame Saturday, Oct. 27. They will be recognized during the football game, as well as at an induction ceremony at 7 p.m. in the Mitchell Hall Gym. Admission is free. UWL Athletics will also host “Homecoming For Heroes” from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Mitchell Hall Fieldhouse. The event features live music by Three Bucks and Change, which includes UWL head men’s track & field coach Josh Buchholtz. Food and beverages (provided by Pepsi Cola of La Crosse and Pearl Street Brewery) will be available for purchase. Admission is free, with donations being accepted. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Freedom Honor Flight to fund its efforts of flying veterans to Washington, D.C. The Wall of Fame tributes former athletes and coaches for exceptional athletic ability and enhancing school tradition.
