Seven students in an environmental sustainability class created an online tour of academic buildings, residence halls, and some off-campus outings with the goal of educating future and current students on the green efforts.
Shelby Jacobson found her passion for the environment after transferring to UW-L. “It was a big change when I changed my major and minor to focus on the environment,” says Jacobson, a third-year student. “It really opened my eyes to what UW-L has to offer.”
Jacobson and six other students in an environmental sustainability class created an online tour of academic buildings, residence halls, and some off-campus outings with the goal of educating future and current students on the green efforts.
Other group members include Jill Castro, Katherine Sarff, Rebecca Conn, Gabriel Morrin, Seth Roca and Lauren Voelker. They hope the website will encourage all students to help with campus sustainability efforts.
Environmental Studies Associate Lecturer Alysa Remsburg is teaching the class. She plans to continue and expand the website in a section of the class next year. Email her with any questions or suggestions.
