Try an iPad for free.
Murphy Library is making five iPads available for checkout beginning Monday, April 11. The iPads support the library's commitment to collaborative learning and complement the existing laptop checkout program. The iPads can be used with wireless connectivity throughout the library to browse resources, communicate with classmates and colleagues, and explore education-related apps.
Students, faculty and staff may check out iPads for a two-hour period and must remain in the library building. Any applications or personal data that have been downloaded onto the iPad will be erased when the iPad is returned.
The iPads come preconfigured with all the normal applications as well as a few library- and research-related apps. They also include a prominent link to a three-question survey, intended to help librarians determine best usage policies and which applications students would find most useful.
The iPads were funded by the Murphy Library Endowment.
