Youth camp set during holiday break
Children ages 5 to 14 years can have fun while exercising during the holiday break between Christmas and New Year’s.
UWL Camps will sponsor a two-day camp designed to help children experience a physically active lifestyle. The Youth Sports and Fitness camp runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 27-28, in Mitchell Hall. Participants may attend one or both days.
Youth Sports and Fitness camp is directed by Deb Sazama, the director of the UWL Physical Education Teacher Education program who teaches undergraduate and graduate classes. The event will have kids playing a variety of different sports and activities, along with learning about about nutrition, teamwork and more. Camp staff will include volunteer physical education majors who share their passion to help motivate and encourage youth to live more active and healthy lifestyles.
Admission is $40 per day or $65 for both days if you sign up before Dec. 8. The price increases to $50 per day and $75 for both days beginning Dec. 9. For additional information, visit www.uwlcamps.com, email althleticcamps@uwlax.edu, or call the camps office at 608.785.8193.
