Called "one of the jewels of choral music in the Lorraine region" of France, Poly-Sons is known for the quality and versatility of its singers and the originality and diversity of its performances. To celebrate the 30-year association of La Crosse and Épinal, Poly-Sons will present music illustrating the variety of its repertoire including 16th century madrigals, works by Debussy and Saint-Saens, as well as popular songs by Billy Joel and Duke Ellington. Members of the La Crosse Chamber Chorale will also perform two French madrigals, and the choirs will join forces to sing “Angel Band,” a piece that has been a favorite of Chamber Chorale audiences in recent years.
The La Crosse-Épinal Cultural Exchange is a non-profit organization that serves as a resource and link between the two similar-sized cities. Its goal is to increase awareness of the differing cultures, improve relations and foster an environment of understanding between France and the US through various cultural exchanges.
