[caption id="attachment_5520" align="alignright" width="217"] Linda Kastantin[/caption]
In 2011, Linda Kastantin joined the UWL Alumni Association membership committee because she wanted to get more involved in the university she loved. In 2013, she was invited to join the Alumni Association board of directors. Since that time, she has continued to volunteer and support her alma mater in many ways. In 2016-17 she’ll serve as the association’s president.
Q: Why did you get involved with the Alumni Association?
A: We have been involved at UWL for 35 years. We want to continue to be supportive because we are interested in the long-term life of UWL.
Q: As the new volunteer chair, what is one goal you’d like to accomplish this next year?
A: To challenge the board to step up to a new service level for UWL or the community. We will decide together as a board what that will be.
Q: What is one of your favorite things to do at UWL?
A: Attending UWL Eagles Football games. We’ve been avid fans for a long time.
Q: When talking with other alumni who are not involved, what would you say?
A: Get involved in a small way. Do not wait because it will help you help UWL.
