The UW-La Crosse Concert Choir will tribute American composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein at its spring concert.
The All-Bernstein Concert is set for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, in Annett Recital Hall, Center for the Arts. There is no admission fee, but seating is limited. The concert was rescheduled from March 11.
Choral and vocal pieces performed will include selections from “Mass,” “West Side Story,” “Our Town” and “Candide.”
UW-L choral and voice faculty members Aliyah Richling, Soojin Ritterling, Terry Kelly and Kathryn Moran, along with UW-L alumna Therese Walth, will perform solos from Bernstein’s musical theatre works. Faculty members Mary Tollefson and Tammy Fisher will also be featured.
UW-L Director of Choral Studies Gary Kent Walth conducts the Concert Choir.
The Concert Choir’s new CD “Lift Your Voices High” will be sold for $12 before and after the concert in the lobby.
