Students can get free tutoring in the Murphy Learning Center. An open house is set for 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18.

UW-L students looking for studying help and tips can turn to the Murphy Learning Center.
The Murphy Learning Center is where all students can receive free tutoring services in a variety of courses. Students are welcome to stop by during an open house from 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Most of the tutoring is done by fellow students, but some faculty spend time working with students as well. Mathematics Department faculty regularly have hours in the center. This fall, instructors from Biology are organizing office hours collectively to offer tutoring each morning. Among the biology classes: A&P 312 and 313, Bio 105 and Bio 203

The full list of subjects with tutors include:

• Chemistry
• Earth Science
• Geography
• Mathematics
• Microbiology
• Physics
• Public speaking
• Writing
The Murphy Learning Center is located in 251 Murphy Library. The center has wireless access. There is also a SMARTBoard, an interactive white board and other technology available for use.
