Local collectors will display their personal collections, and MVAC staff will bring artifacts recovered from local excavations.

The public is invited to view artifacts representing the Coulee Region’s long history during the Mississippi Valley Archaeology Center’s annual artifact show from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Valley View Mall.
Local collectors will display their personal collections, and MVAC staff will bring artifacts recovered from local excavations. Archaeologists will also be on hand to answer questions. The public is invited to bring artifacts for help with identification.

The artifacts at the show typically date back about 600 to 10,000 years and are remnants of the Paleo through Oneota cultures.
Local collectors can contact MVAC at 608.785.8454 or jdowiasch@uwlax.edu to sign up to display artifacts at the annual show. The event is free.
