Departments may choose to allow non-essential employees to stay home until 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 24; only essential employees need to report all day.

Subject: Weather conditions causing class cancellation
Colleagues,
Due to the quickly deteriorating weather conditions expected this afternoon, classes are being canceled at 5:30 p.m. today. The regular class schedule will resume at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 24.
Departments may choose to allow non-essential employees to stay home until 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 24; only essential employees need to report this evening and tomorrow morning.
Employees who do travel to or from campus are urged to use extreme caution and contact their supervisor with any specific concerns. Please refer to the Inclement Weather Policy on how to report the absence.
Commuter students are urged to use extreme caution while traveling. Even though classes are canceled, the following areas remaining open on campus includes
• Whitney Center and Cartwright Center dining areas
• All residence halls
• Recreational Eagle Center
• University Police — for emergencies call 789.9999 or 911
