Posted 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023

During inclement weather, anyone who travels to campus should use extreme caution and watch for changing hazardous road conditions.

Employees, students should use caution if coming to campus

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the La Crosse area Tuesday night. Forecasters Tuesday afternoon predict heavier snow later Wednesday afternoon into Thursday, when a Winter Storm Watch is currently in effect.

Despite these weather conditions, UW-La Crosse will be open Wednesday, Feb. 22. Please use your best judgment in deciding on whether traveling to campus if road conditions become hazardous. Conditions can change quickly.

Students should work with their instructors to make any alternative plans to regularly scheduled coursework.

Employees should contact their supervisor with any specific concerns. Employees should refer to the UW System Inclement Weather Policy regarding any changes to a regular work schedule.

Anyone who does travel to campus should use extreme caution and watch for changing hazardous road conditions.
