The "Great Alphabet Adventure" will show at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, April 12, in the Frederick Theatre, Morris Hall.
The UW-La Crosse Department of Theatre Arts children’s theatre production, "The Great Alphabet Adventure," takes the audience on a whirl-wind quest, exploring the wonder of reading books.
The "Great Alphabet Adventure" will show at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, April 12, in the Frederick Theatre, Morris Hall.
Julia Flood’s production follows Alex, a boy of 11, on a stormy afternoon with two whole hours to play video games … until the power goes out. Alex is stranded at home with nothing to do until his new neighbor, Zora, shows up, and they discover that the ABC book lacks any "ABCs." Zora swooshes them both away on an adventure. They discover many amazing and funny people including a sea captain, a robot and even a king. Join Alex and Zora on their quest for the missing alphabet.
Tickets go on sale at 1 p.m. Monday, April 7. Box office hours are 1 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and one hour before show times. Tickets are $5 for students and children under 13 and $8 for others. Call 608.785.8522 for tickets. Tickets are general admission with limited seating.
