The influence of the region’s higher education institutions on the economy will be the topic for the next Economic Indicators: An Update for the 7 Rivers Region.
UW-La Crosse Economics Professor TJ Brooks will offer insights and perspectives on the local economy. The guest speaker is Brent Smith, local attorney and former president of the UW Board of Regents. The forum will focus on higher education, highlighting its changing economics, how it relates to workforce development and the economic returns derived from higher education.
Economic Indicators: An Update for the 7 Rivers Region is a regional business forum coordinated in part by the UWL Small Business Development Center and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The event will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, in Valhalla, Cartwright Center-Gunning Addition. Breakfast will be served at 7 a.m.; the program will begin at 7:20 a.m. and will end by 9 a.m.
