Entrepreneurship Research Conference

hosted by the Menard Family Initiative

This will be a two-day entrepreneurship conference, where we will bring together academics, students, and entrepreneurs. The event will consist of two keynote lectures, a panel discussion with both academics and entrepreneurs, an undergraduate student poster session, and several general sessions on sub-topics within entrepreneurship such as the effect of regulations and licensing, implications of entrepreneurship for well-being, gender, and economic development, access to capital markets, and the effects of automation and artificial intelligence.

Wednesday, October 4th:

Welcome and Introductions - 2 pm to 2:15 pm 

Visionary Ventures – 2:30 pm to 3:45 pm  

  • Students will pitch their entrepreneurship ideas to academic scholars, faculty, and local entrepreneurs.

  • Agnitra Roy Chowdhury – Auburn University at Montgomery 
    • Title: Cross-Regional trade and investment flows between Latin America and Asia and their effect on entrepreneurship 
  • Todd Nesbit – Ball State University
    • Title: Interstate Cannabis Legalization: It’s a Trap! ?
