Probationary periods are essential to support new employees and maintain high performance standards here at UWL.
To help supervisors and hiring managers navigate this process with confidence, Human Resources is offering a focused training on probationary periods, procedures associated procedures, and policy review. This session will strengthen your understanding of UW System probationary expectations, documentation requirements, and best practices for guiding new employees toward success. Understanding the purpose and requirements of the UWS Job Security Policy ensures that decisions made during the probationary period are fair, supported with documentation, and in the best interest of all parties.
Supervisors play a critical role in this process and attending the probationary period training will assist in equipping you with the tools to lead confidently, address performance concerns early, and foster a strong foundation for long-term success.
