Where are you from?

Edgerton, WI

What's your favorite part of your job?

Since the majority of new books and films cross my desk on their journey to the library collection, I get to see all the new books first-hand. I especially enjoy seeing all the new children’s books. I also find it very satisfying when I can find and make available a hard-to-find streaming video that a faculty member wants to use in a course.

How long have you worked here?

I started in May 2016.

What do you do when not at work?

Over the past two years I’ve really gotten into bullet journaling. I’ve always been someone who had a weekly planner, and I love that bullet journaling encourages me to design my own planning system and to be as creative as I want in the pages I create, whether that’s through adding stickers, drawing, or collaging. The possibilities are endless, and my pages can be as simple or as creative as I want! I also enjoy watercolor painting, going to concerts, checking out new breweries, baking, and playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

What have you read/viewed/listened to/etc. recently?

I am currently reading "The Midnight Library" by Matt Haig. Two titles I recently read (and highly recommend) are "Malibu Rising" by Taylor Jenkins Reid and "Red, White, & Royal Blue" by Casey McQuiston. I tend to listen to a lot of classic rock, but I’ve recently enjoyed the new Aly & AJ album, "A Touch of the Beat Gets You Up on Your Feet Gets You Out and Then Into the Sun". I also enjoy listening to podcasts, one of my favorites being "Armchair Expert" with Dax Shepard. I’ve been watching and thoroughly enjoying the new show on Hulu, "Only Murders in the Building".

What might surprise us about you?

My dream is to own my own small farm and have a couple acres of land to grow vegetables, herbs, flowers, and perhaps even have a few chickens and goats.
