Workday Resources and Learning Opportunities
Navigating Workday can be straightforward with the right support. Fortunately, there are several resources available to help you feel confident and comfortable using the system.
Workday Learning is your central hub for training. It offers a variety of eLearning courses on topics such as:
- Workday basics for all employees
- Manager-specific tasks
- Expense reporting
- Research administration
To explore these courses:
- Click “Learning” in the Workday menu
- Select “Browse Learning Content”
- Search for “UWS – Workday”
- Enroll in any course that fits your needs
If you were previously assigned Workday courses through Canvas, those are still available and can be accessed at any time.
In addition to Workday-specific training, Workday Learning also includes:
- UW mandatory trainings (see UWL Mandatory Training information on this webpage)
- LinkedIn Learning courses
This makes Workday Learning a comprehensive resource for your professional development.
Recorded Webinars
Prefer a recorded session? Webinars from late spring and early summer are available in the Workday Course Catalog on the Workday website. You can view these by clicking on the course name.
Note: Viewing a recorded webinar is not tracked in Workday Learning.
New Courses and Notifications
As new courses and live sessions are developed, they will be added to Workday Learning. If a course is required based on your security role, you will receive a notification with instructions on how to proceed.

You can filter resources by role using the audience drop-downs or search by topic to find exactly what you need.
