The UW-La Crosse Wind Ensemble will hold its first concert of the fall semester performing a variety of music selections.
The UW-La Crosse Wind Ensemble will hold its first concert of the fall semester at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Viterbo Fine Arts Center. Admission is free, but non-perishable food items for local food pantries will be accepted.
The Wind Ensemble will perform a variety of music featuring UWL faculty member Mike Forbes on tuba. Assistant Professor of Music Thomas Seddon is the director of the UWL Wind Ensemble, open to all students by audition.
The selections being performed include: “Torque” by Forbes; “Fantasia and Fugue in C Minor” – Bach; “Capriccio for Tuba and Band” by Forbes, “Dance Mix” by Smith; and “From a Dark Millennium” by Schwantner.
