Using MLA and APA Citations

MLA and APA are two of the most common citation styles used on campus. Below are links to their official style guides, which are the best place to find accurate and up to date information on how to format your citations.

APA style is often used in the social sciences and includes guidelines for formatting papers, in text citations, and reference lists. MLA style is commonly used in the humanities and focuses on clear in text citations and a works cited page.

Before you start your paper, be sure to check with your professor about which citation style they want you to use for the assignment.
