Economic Indicators: An Update for the 7 Rivers Region

The leadership and support that fosters community development and economic success in the 7 Rivers Region goes well beyond the walls of corporate boardrooms. At this event, hosted at the UW-La Crosse, Dr. TJ Brooks, Economics Department Chair at UWL, will offer his current insights and perspectives on the region’s local economy and the role of philanthropy in community development. A guest panel of business leaders from the region will discuss the civic engagement opportunities and responsibilities they have taken in their communities with the program entitled, “Beyond the Boardroom: Corporate Leadership and Community Engagement.”

The panel of guest business leaders will include Sue Christopherson, Principal and President Emeritus at Fowler & Hammer; Dave Skogen, Board Chair at Festival Foods; and Matt McPherson, CEO at Mathews Archery, Inc. 

Economic Indicators: An Update for the 7 Rivers Region is a regional business forum. State Bank Financial sponsors this research project in collaboration with the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse College of Business Administration and The La Crosse Tribune.
