Linked to Land Earth Day Hike

UWL professor discusses geography of Driftless Area on Earth Day hike

Mississippi Valley Conservancy is leading a guided & educational hike for Earth Day as part of its “Linked to the Land” program sponsored by Mayo Health System. Colin Belby, UWL associate professor of Geography & Earth Science, will discuss the geography of the Driftless area as part of the hike from 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22.

Two hikes will be available: A longer hike that starts at the bottom and ends at the overlook and a shorter hike that starts at the top and goes to the overlook. At the top, participants will be able to take in the spectacular views of the bluffs and river valley.
