Developing Departmental Inclusive Excellence Plans

Departmental teams are invited to a workshop aimed at developing Inclusive Excellence plans. This workshop will take advantage of the opportunity to learn across disciplines first, then focus on developing a departmental plan with measurable goals.  Teams should include at least two people; please bring hard copies of your department's 2017-2018 plan (submitted to your dean at the end of AY 2017) with you.

 

Beginning in cross-disciplinary tables, participants will discuss examples of thoughtful plans previously submitted by other departments, considering the potential for adaptation to their departments. Adaptability, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and measures of success will be the focus. In the second part of the session, departmental teams will develop plans and action steps, identify the resources needed for success, and identify measures.
