Ethical dimensions of land management

The symposium will bring together local land managers,  faculty, students, and a keynote speaker, philosopher Adam Briggle of University of North Texas. The focus will be discussion of  the ethical dilemmas surrounding land management issues, from hunting regulations and trail construction to frac sand mining and oil drilling.  The event will include faculty and student presentations from Philosophy, Environmental Studies, and Political Science. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required for lunch - email envstudies@uwlax.edu for more information.
