City Year is an education-focused, nonprofit organization that unites diverse young leaders for a year of full-time service to make a difference in the lives of children by working to close the achievement gap in low performing schools in 28 US.locations. College Possible

College Possible is a growing nonprofit dedicated to coaching low-income students to-and-through college, breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering our workforce. Our rigorously-tested model earns top-of-field results that have helped 98 percent of students served earn admission to college and supported nearly 80 percent through graduation. A 2011 Harvard study found that the program more than doubles a student’s chance of enrolling in a four-year college.

Partners for After School Success members contribute to AmeriCorps national goals by Getting Things Done in Dane County, Wisconsin! PASS is a multi-site program run by the Dane County Department of Human Services in partnership with twelve host site agencies that provide youth development programming. PASS AmeriCorps members serve at host sites in predominantly low-income or resource-scarce communities with the goal of addressing the unmet educational needs of middle and high school youth through literacy tutoring and academic support; providing extended learning programs that build social-emotional learning skills and engaging youth in service to the community.

Minnesota Reading Corps

Minnesota Reading Corps, a strategic initiative of ServeMinnesota, demonstrates how service and science can accelerate improvement in both students and systems. By mobilizing the people power of AmeriCorps, Reading Corps provides evidence-based literacy interventions and data-based assessments to children from age three to grade three.
