State of the UW System: An Open Forum

A forum to discuss current issues facing the UW System, such as affordability, shared governance, restructuring, the Wisconsin Idea, freedom of speech, and job security, among others. Panelists will share their greatest hopes and concerns for the System, followed by Q&A. UWL Professor Emeritus Joe Heim is moderator.

Panelists include:

WI State Senator, Jennifer Shilling; UW System Regent Tim Higgins; Faculty Senate Chair Anne Galbraith; Student Association President Jacob Schimmel; President of United Faculty and Academic Staff of UW-Eau Claire, Peter Hart-Brinson. 

Organized by the United Academic Professionals of UWL (AFT Local #6502). Co-sponsored by UWL Institute for Social Justice, Faculty Senate, Student Association, Department of Political Science and Public Administration, Continuing Education and Extension, University Staff Council, Academic Staff Council, Organization for Campus Women, and Alumni Association.
