Korean Wave-Globalization of Korean Traditional Culture 2018

The UWL Music Department is hosting "Korean Wave-Globalization of Korean Traditional Culture 2018" events on campus from April 11 to April 14, 2018. Native to South Korea, the "Danullim" Korean Music Ensemble specializes in Korean traditional music and dance. Their performance repertoire includes gayageum solo and ensemble, daegeum solo, taepyongmu, sanjo chum, sogomu, pansori and folk songs. 
The events include two performances and two masterclasses. All events are free and open to the public.  
-Masterclass 1 & 2: Wednesday, April 11 at 9:55 am & 12:05 pm at 56 Instrumental Music Rehearsal Room, Center for the Arts 
-Performance 1: Thursday, April 12 at 7:30 pm at Annett Recital Hall, Center for the Arts 
-Performance 2: Friday, April 13 at 12:05 pm at Bluffs Ballroom, Student Union 
The events are supported by UWL College of Liberal Studies, Foundation, Korean Percussion Ensemble, Segregated University Fee Allocation Committee, and Office of International Education & Engagement.
