Jazz Clinic and Masterclass

with Jazz Drummer Carl Allen

Milwaukee native and international jazz drummer Carl Allen will conduct a jazz clinic with the UWL Jazz Orchestra (and the UWL Jazz Combos, and conduct a drum masterclass for UWL music students. Allen will work with the UWL Jazz Orchestra at 3:30 PM, the UWL Jazz Combos at 5:00 PM and conduct a jazz drum masterclass at 6:00 PM. The event is free and open to the public.

Carl Allen is a multi-faceted jazz musician. He has played and recorded with the top names in jazz, such as Freddie Hubbard, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock and Christian McBride; produced jazz recordings for many artists; and established himself as successful entrepreneur and businessman in music and music education.
