Environmental Explorers

Program dates: June 25, 7:30 a.m.—3:15 p.m.; June 26, 7:45 a.m.—3:30 p.m.

Learn/perform field and laboratory techniques used by scientists studying local waters. Collect/identify macroinvertebrates. Identify/learn about aquatic plants, trees, reptiles & amphibians. Observe/identify birds and the nests they make. Simulate tracking animals with radio transmitters. Navigate using Global Positioning System, aerial photographs & land maps. Environmental Explorers is for students entering grades 4-6.

Fee: $110 by May 25, $135 thereafter
