Retirement Reception for Kim Vogt

Kim Vogt will retire after 25 years of service to the University and La Crosse community.  Kim’s official last day will be June 30, 2019.

In celebration and to show our gratitude, we will hold a retirement reception from 1-3 p.m. Friday, April 26, in the Cleary Alumni & Friends Center. The program starts at 1:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.

Kim has been at UWL since January 1994, and has made many contributions during her time here - some of the highlights include serving as the Interim Dean for the College of Liberal Studies from 2017-2019, as Department Chair for Sociology and Criminal Justice from 2002-2017, as Interim Assistant Dean in the College of Liberal Studies from 2000-2001, and as Faculty Assistant to the Provost, assisting with faculty promotion, retention, and tenure processes, from 2011-2013. Throughout everything, Kim remained a steadfast teacher-scholar with teaching interests in the areas of Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Deviance; and, research that has focused on the characteristics of youth homicide victimization and offending, hate crimes, and youth risk behaviors.
