Poster Proposals for Annual Conference on Teaching and Learning DUE

UWL Instructors and Staff are invited to submit proposals for poster presentations at the 21st Annual UW-La Crosse Conference on Teaching & Learning to be held Monday, August 26, 2019, 2:00-4:00 p.m., Bluffs Room, The Union.

This annual conference highlights teaching and learning projects by UWL instructors and staff, and is an excellent opportunity for sharing work and learning about the work of other UWL instructors. 
 
This is a call for poster presentations only. These may be individual or collaborative efforts, and may focus on work in progress, completed work, or follow up work from a previous project. Submissions are welcome on a broad range of topics.
 
During the poster session attendees can circulate to take in the posters and interact with presenters. Posters are welcome that focus on:
 
  1. Projects. These are posters that describe teaching and learning projects, e.g., a scholarship of teaching and learning project; lesson study; course embedded undergraduate research; Teaching Fellow or Scholar projects; projects related to a Faculty Development Grant, Curricular Redesign Grant, or International Development Fund Grant, etc.

  2. Information, Resources, Opportunities. These are posters that describe how instructors might use a type of program, service or opportunity relevant to teaching and learning, e.g., tutoring or supplemental instruction services, support for students with disabilities, library services, services that facilitate access to community organizations for service learning or internships.

  3. Teaching Techniques. These are posters that describe a teaching technique or strategy used, focused on a novel or innovative teaching technique, strategy, method, class assignment, class project, class exercise, assessment method, use of technology, etc.  
Poster proposals may be submitted online. Poster Proposals are due by Monday June 24, 2019.

Instructors who have within the last academic year received Faculty Development Grants, CATL Teaching and Learning Grants, and Curricular Redesign Grants as well as instructors who are Teaching Fellows and Scholars are expected to present a poster at the conference.
