CATL Winter Workshop Series

The CATL Winter (Virtual) Conference, Tuesday 1/19 through Friday 1/22, invites instructors to prepare for your Spring 2021 classes with a series of workshops, panels, and consultations. Check out the FRIDAY schedule below to see what topics will help you enhance student learning in spring 2021. Workshop: Improving Canvas Course Structure
Streamlined structure and consistent organization in a Canvas course allows students to have a cohesive experience in the learning environment. During this session we will review keys elements of a Canvas course that students and instructors report as being critical to course organization and structure. We will overview a checklist and the process to accomplish these key elements to help you bring your spring 2021 courses to an improved place for both you and your students.

Supported Work Time
Start reconfiguring your Canvas course based on what you learned in the 10 - 11:00 am workshop. CATL staff will be available to assist. Peers are encouraged to support and help each other, as well.

Lunch and Learn: Using CATL's Canvas Course Template
CATL is releasing a Canvas template that can be used by instructors. Bring your lunch and join us for a short demonstration about how to use the template and a conversation about uses for this template.  

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Collaborate or Consult
Collaborate with a colleague on an assignment for peer review and/or stop in (virtually) for a CATL consultation to discuss this or any teaching topic.
