Community of Practice: Artificial Intelligence

CATL is recruiting for a community of practice for AY 2023-24 to share and compile the various ways instructors are currently using or responding to the opportunities and challenges presented by AI technologies. Ideally, we’d like to put together an AI Summit (to take place in May 2024) of UWL instructors who are working with, and/or against, AI technologies in their classrooms. This community of practice provides an opportunity to share and reflect on the uses and abuses of AI in the classroom, and we will work towards a goal of disseminating our work to other instructors across the university. 

This COP is planning the Spring 2024 AI Summit.

Potential topics include: 

AI for feedback and assessment 
AI for course design 
How students use AI technologies 
How to talk with students about AI 
The uses and types of AI 
The potential abuses of AI 
AI and Eagle Advantage competencies
