Director of Instruction overview

Director of Instruction

If you are a principal or teacher in the state of Wisconsin interested in achieving your full leadership capacity while also obtaining Principal & Director of Instruction Licensure, then these are the programs for you! When you step into this influential role, your decisions directly impact how hundreds of students are learning, so you need to be fully prepared.

In our model of learning in community, we foster collaboration and build comradery by having you come together with other learners to share common values, beliefs, and emotions about education. This model helps you create a more effective learning process by building from shared experiences.

We emphasize building authentic relationships in your cohort, classroom, school, and community. With a constructivist and experiential learning approach, you’ll actively shape your own learning experience. We understand the best practices for being a culturally-responsive and advanced-pedagogical leader and equip you with the needed skills to be a highly effective professional.

The Fall for Education Conference is the first full weekend in November annually.  The conference is part of learning outcomes for each IPSE program including Educational Leadership, Director of Instruction, MSED Learning Communities, and Reading.  A Special Course Fee of $60.00 is incorporated into fall tuition for the conference to help compensate for meals and breaks. Attendance at the conference is a program requirement.
