Monthly No Leave Taken Reporting Requirement

In accordance with Wisconsin Administrative Code, all Faculty, Academic Staff, and Limited Appointees in leave-eligible positions are required to submit a monthly leave report—even if no leave was taken during that month. Failure to do so may impact sick leave accruals.

To report No Leave Taken in Workday, follow the steps outlined in this job aid:

Steps to Submit a No Leave Taken Report in Workday

  1. From the Workday Home Page, click Menu.
  2. Select the Request Absence app.
    • Tip: Use the “Apps” and “Edit” buttons in the Menu to customize your app list.
  3. Click on any calendar day within the month you are reporting for.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Under Type of Absence, select Time Off.
  6. Choose No Leave Taken from the list.
  7. Click Submit.
