Effective March 1, 2022, the University will permit more flexibility when considering telecommuting options for non-instructional employees who may request it.

Colleagues,

Effective March 1, 2022, the University will permit more flexibility when considering telecommuting options for non-instructional employees who may request it.  This request requires an interactive dialogue and approval between the employee, supervisor, Human Resources, and the Division head. Please note, your division leader will communicate with directors and unit managers about the specific effective dates for your division.

To help supervisors respond to these requests, assess if a position may be eligible for telecommuting, understand better how to manage remote workers effectively, and learn the procedures for approval, HR has developed a training program that will be offered on:

  • Friday, March 11, 2022 @ 10:00 AM
  • Tuesday, March 15, 2022 @ 1:30 PM
  • Thursday, March 17, 2022 @ 10:00 AM

All trainings to be held here: https://wisconsin-edu.zoom.us/j/93916591340?pwd=ZFF3N3NjVnRhZVh5WmlHT3dwdTIxZz09

This training will be later adapted into a Canvas course with expanded learning in several key areas, such as managing remote workers, maintaining culture, and ensuring productivity.

Please feel free to attend one of the training sessions and contact your HR Partner if you have additional questions.
