You can now signup for two new courses from UWS through Workday Learning

Upcoming Professional Development Opportunities for UW-La Crosse Employees 

UW-La Crosse employees are invited to participate in two upcoming virtual training sessions offered through UW System Administration (UWSA). These sessions are designed to support your professional development and enhance workplace culture and communication. 

1. Shaping Culture: Fostering a Positive Engaging Environment 

  • Audience: Supervisors and Managers 
    A positive workplace culture is shaped by how we lead every day. This 60-minute session explores the key drivers of team engagement and belonging, offering practical strategies to bring clarity, recognition, and energy into your unit. Whether you're new to supervision or looking to reset your team’s tone, this session will equip you to lead with purpose. 
  • Date: October 14 at 1:30 PM (via Zoom) 
  • Registration: Search “UWS Shaping Culture: Fostering a Positive Engaging Environment” in the Browse Learning Content section of the Workday Learning app. 

Note: This session is only visible to supervisors/managers in Workday due to system settings. 

2. Professional Communication at Work 

  • Audience: All Employees 
    Effective communication is about clarity, connection, and intention. This 60-minute session will help you identify common communication breakdowns, practice strategies for communicating with clarity, and learn how to adapt your tone and message for different audiences and situations. 
  • Date: October 21 at 1:30 PM (via Zoom) 
  • Registration: Search “UWS Professional Communication at Work” in the Browse Learning Content section of the Workday Learning app.
