Hometown: New Orleans, Louisiana

How I spend my free time: I really love music, traveling, and cooking. As an undergraduate student, I studied music education with an emphasis in voice. During my time as a K-12 teacher, I taught at an international school in Bangkok, Thailand and traveled a lot throughout Southeast Asia. My passion for cooking stems from spending many years as my great-grandmother's sous chef.

Why I love La Crosse: Coming from New Orleans, a city known for its festivals and year-round celebrations, I love that La Crosse offers many festivals and community events throughout the year. The natural beauty of the surrounding bluffs and the Mississippi River are definitely a plus!

What advice I give to new students: Take time to get involved and find ways to connect with the university community. UWL offers so many opportunities for students to engage meaningfully, and everyone can find their niche!
