Brief biography
Hometown: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
How I spend my free time: I’m a hobby writer; I write songs, spoken-word poetry, and short stories (mostly science fiction). I like to draw and am practicing life drawing. I’m a Trekkie, so on any average evening you can find me talking to friends and watching re-runs of 90’s Trek, especially Deep Space Nine!
Why I love La Crosse: Coming from Pittsburgh, cities that feel like a cozy town with rivers and bridges are near and dear to my heart! I appreciate the diverse community here, as well as the walkable Downtown center to get coffee, see movies, and window shop. I also love the history of the Driftless area and the beautiful trails and connections to nature available.
What do I value most in my work: Currently, I’m really excited for thinking about how to bring together my experiences from multiple disciplines to uplift and empower those around me to do their best work, build meaningful connections, and superpower what we already do well. I’m a coach and facilitator at heart, and I enjoy applying human-centered design and servant leadership principles to administrative work. My goal is to support pathways to efficiency and connection for others. The team’s success in these areas is how I measure my own.
What advice I give to others: If you’re visiting me, order takeout because I can’t cook! (I really can’t.) More seriously, I’d say to stay curious! Curiosity and creating space to connect with others can go a long way in collaborative work.
